My name is Shirley Banton I am a qualified Psychotherapist who offers a gentle, reassuring service for those who are experiencing difficult emotional issues in their lives.
As a Psychotherapist in private practice, I have over 10 years of experience in supporting clients from diverse backgrounds with various presenting issues. I am registered with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and hold a Diploma in Transpersonal Psychotherapy from the Centre for Counselling and Psychotherapy Education (CCPE) London.
I have several years' experience of working with domestic violence and abuse survivors and have over 20 years' experience of working within further and higher education settings. This allows me to empathise and understand some of the stresses and pressures facing young adults and educators in their professional and personal lives.
I use a person-centered approach coupled with my Transpersonal training and integrate other modalities to meet the unique and individual needs of each client. My mission is to empower my clients to live well and achieve their goals, by providing a safe, supportive, and confidential space for them to explore.
