Patience Riley is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in GA and a Licensed Independent Mental Health Practitioner (LIMHP) in NE who is certified in perinatal mental health. She has over a decade of experience and supports clients by weaving her expertise as a Therapist, RETAIN Parental Leave Coach, Perinatal Yoga certification, and 200 HR Yoga Teacher Trainee. Patience has a private practice where she offers individual therapy, mental wellness workshops to organizations, and maintains her professional blog, WHOA MAMA.

She has spoken for organizations such as the Wall Street Journal Podcast, Policy Center for Maternal Mental Health, Brazelton Touchpoints Center, and Virginia Tech. She has been featured in Vanity Fair London, Vogue Singapore, Military Families Magazines, Izzy & Liv contributed pieces to the #HowRightNow campaign with the Center for Disease Control, Military Spouse Magazine, Mantra Wellness Magazine, and Wounded Warrior Project.

In addition to her work as a Licensed Professional Counselor, Patience, is the Communications Manager for the Perinatal Mental Health Alliance for People of Color, a program within Postpartum Support International (PSI). In this role, she blends her creativity and passion for expanding the reach of perinatal mental health education, support, and resources to BIPOC communities and providers. Patience leads the Yoga for Pregnant & Postpartum Parents, Mindfulness, and subs the Military Moms group for PSI.

Outside of her work within the mental health field, Patience is a creative, foodie, plant mom, festival junkie, wife to her college sweetheart, military spouse, and mom of two little boys.

As a perinatal mental health therapist, Patience offers a safe space for her clients to embrace the good, bad, and even ugly sides of parenthood.
